Nose Cards Slides and Video

Play the video above, or click through the still images and text starting with the first Nose Card.
Nose Cards was a project that was published in 1999.  CT scan data and 3D Studio Max were used to create simple computer models of the inside of the nose and the sinuses.  The cards were given to doctors and patients to explain how the inside of the nose and the sinuses are built and how they work.  The pictures were printed on cards that slid into a viewer for a 3D experience.
Thumbnails of the pages are shown below.  Nose Cards were meant to be read in order, starting with the First Nose Card.  This page is the 2D version of the series.  You can find 3D versions on the Stereoscopic page.
Nose Cards is the inspiration for my current project, "ENT 3D."  The new project is much bigger and benefits from big improvements in software and hardware, along with a more complete long-term plan.
